When putting on a quote or a job the 3 basic pieces of information you must have are the customer, the collection location and the delivery location, without these 3 you will not be able to save a quote or job. (The exception being for a quick job a full address is not needed, see quick jobs for more). To speed up the process when creating quotes and jobs you can save regular customers or locations on the system. These can then be retrieved and automatically fill in the relevant information whilst creating these new quotes or jobs.
Adding Customers
To add a customer select 'new' in the main menu, then 'new locations' and then 'customer'. As before, and on all areas of the CDN site fields marked with orange text are mandatory. Firstly enter the postcode of the customers address and click 'find', then select a line from the dropdown box and adjust as necessary.

Input the address and as many contact details as you have for your customer. In the field marked 'quick code' you have an option to use a short word or phrase relating to the particular customer, this code will be used later when creating a job or quote to find all the information on that particular customer. You must then select the rates you wish to give this customer for pricing, if these have not already been set up see 'rate cards' for more information. Once again when all the relevant information has been filled in select save and that new customer will then be found under 'community' - 'locations' - 'customers'. It can be viewed and edited at any time from there.
Adding Destinations
To add a destination select 'new' in the main menu, then 'new locations' and then 'destination'. Fill in the address by using the postcode and clicking 'find'. As with all areas of the CDN the more contact information you can provide the more connected the customer and provider will be. At the bottom of the page is the option to tick for 'public contact'. Selecting this will make this saved destination information available to other users when searching postcodes for destinations. This is mainly intended if there are common destinations which are used between you and other CDN users. The saved information cannot be edited by other users so will remain the same in your saved destinations. Once all of this information is filled in select save, you can retrieve and edit this data at any time by going into 'community' - 'locations' - then 'destinations'.
