Once a job has been allocated to your fleet you will need to assign the movement to a driver. There are two types of 'drivers' you can have set up on the CDN, either as an email workforce or a mobile workforce. Email workforce is for drivers who do not use a handheld, if a job is assigned to a driver without a handheld they will recieve the job details via email and the updating of the movement must be done manually. For more on updating jobs manually see progressing a job. For a mobile workforce driver when the job is assigned it will be sent to their handheld device with all the jobs details.
To assign a driver to the job you will need to open up the job, which should be located under 'logistics' - 'my jobs' - 'open jobs'. Under the dates and prices the journey field will appear as below. To assign a driver to a job click send and select the desired driver from the list. If the driver is only email workforce there will be a (*) next to their name. Once selected click send and the details will be sent through to the driver. If you wish you can select 'send later' and a driver will be provisionally put next to the movement, the details will only be sent through when 'send now' is selected.To continue further from this stage see progressing a job.
