Quotes

When creating a quote there are two differents ways to do so, either a quote or a quick job. The difference between the two is that a quick job can be created with approximate locations, as opposed to exact postcodes.

Creating a quote

For creating a standard quote you will need exact collection and delivery postcodes and the customers details. To create the quote select 'new', 'new jobs' and then 'quote'. If you have the customer and/or locations saved then type in the quick code or post code of these and they will appear in a drop down bar to be selected. Then enter the number of vehicles to be moved and select the rate of urgency (if you have not, or wish to set this up see 'rates'). If you are entering new customer and destination information you will be prompted to enter in customer information before proceeding. If it is a new destination that you are using you need only enter the postcode at this stage.

Click 'get quote' and you will then be taken to a new screen.

At this stage you can edit the price for driven or transported, add your own margin on the job and adjust the mileage if needs be. The prices the system works out are based on the rates you have set up, if the prices shown at this stage regularly need adjustment then you may need to adjust your rates. The quote can then be saved and will be stored in 'logistics' - 'quotes' - 'pending quotes'.

At this stage the job will also have been allocated a job number which will be seen in the top left of the screen. The quote can now be stored on the system until the movement is booked, if you wish proceed straight away then see jobs.

Creating a Quick Job

For creating a quick job you do not need accurate postcodes as the system does not equate a price using mileage, for these jobs you will need to manully input an agreed price for the movement. If necessary the price can still be edited at a later stage. Once you have entered all the information you have in a quick job you have 4 options to proceed with; 'Save as Draft Job', 'Save Draft & Create New', 'Save Draft & Duplicate' and 'Create Job'. If you select any of the save draft options the quick job can be found under 'movements' - 'quotes' - 'draft jobs'. If you select create job you will be taken to the next stage in the process, for information on how to proceed from here please see jobs.

The options for 'Save Draft & Create New' and 'Save Draft & Duplicate' both save a copy of the quick job you have just entered and allow to either create a new quick job from the start or create a new job with the same customer and destination information already input.
