Power Management
Press the on/off button, the units screen will go blank.
It is recommended that you turn the unit off at the end of your working day. You are also advised to place it on 230 volt charge so that it is fully charged for the next day.
You may also need to power the unit off and on again if the unit has lost the connection with the CDN servers.
Error – Unit cannot communicate with the CDN Servers (reboot HH)
How to Power the unit on
Press and hold down the on/off button for 3 seconds, when you see the screen light up release the on button. The unit will auto start, please wait until you see the CDN login screen.
How do I tell if the unit is plugged into power?
In the My Jobs screen you will see an icon on the top right corner that indicates if the unit is connected to power or how full the battery power is.

Battery at 100%
Battery at 80%
Battery at 60%
Battery at 40%
Battery at 20%
How to tell if the unit is communicating with the CDN servers
In the My Jobs screen you will see an icon on the top right corner that indicates if the unit is communicating.
OK – can communicate with the CDN Servers
OK – trying to connect/re-connect to the CDN Servers
Error – Unit cannot communicate with the CDN Servers (reboot HH)
If your device is stuck at the yellow or red icons you may need to either 'sync' or reboot your HH.
Logging In
To login into the CDN application you will need to tap on the user screen and select your user from the list and then enter your password.
Please note you must not operate the device while driving.
If your user is not in the list you will need to ask your Systems Administrator to add you. To update the list of users you will need to ‘Exit’ the application and then restart it and wait a few minutes for the list to be updated.
The ‘Exit’ button will close the CDN Application
The ‘Login’ button will log you in if your user and password are correct.
Main Menu
The Main Menu has a number of options you can select.
The ‘My Jobs’ button contains the Jobs that have been allocated to the user on the device.
The ‘Messages’ button contains messages that have been sent to you from the CDN Server, you can also send messages to users.
The ‘Navigate’ button allows the user to navigate to locations using Postcodes, street addresses and points of interest.
The ‘Log Off’ button allows the user to log off the unit. You cannot log off if you have a Job in a status that indicates you are still working on that job.
The My Jobs screen displays the list of jobs on the device allocated to the logged in user.
To ensure you are up to date with work or if you are expecting a job to come through to your HH tap 'sync' at the top of the screen to push through any messages between the device and the server.
The ‘Jobs (2)’ indicates there are 2 Jobs in the list
There is an icon next to each Job indicating the current status of each Job.

- On Way To Collect
- Collection On Hold
- At Collection
- Collected
- Delivery On Hold
- On Way To Deliver
- At Delivery
- Complete on HH
- Complete on HH and message returned to office
- Aborted / Cancelled
If you tap on each job line then the Job will open displaying the full job details.
Open Job consists of 3 screens these are ‘Vehicle’, ‘Collect’ and ‘Deliver’, the screens can be viewed by selecting the buttons on the bottom of the screen.
The Vehicles screen displays the vehicles to be delivered
The Collect screen shows the Collection details
The Deliver screen shows the Delivery details
The ‘Vehicles (1)’ displays the number of vehicles to be delivered
The grey area indicates the Job Number (DET1239), the Job status (Not Started)
On the right are the action buttons, they will change the status and your access to the job (follow the orange buttons)
Actions
The system has a series of Action buttons that progress the job. (just follow the Orange)
As the job is progressed different options are revealed. As you select these buttons the Jobs status will change (also in Orange). If there is no Orange buttons on the right it means you have another job open that is also ‘in progress’ you must first deal with that job before you can progress this job.
On Way – Tells the office the driver is On Way to Collect or Deliver the vehicles
Navigate – Tells the office driver is On Way to Collect or Deliver and uses the collection or delivery postcode to navigate to the location
Arrived – Tells the office the driver has arrived at the Collection or Delivery point
On Hold – Tells the office that this job has been put on hold and the driver is no longer On Way to Collect
Abort – Tells the office that the entire Job has been aborted (Please note it is also possible to abort a vehicle within a multi vehicle Job)
Confirm – Tells the office that the driver has arrived at site and has confirmed that he can now progress the job (i.e. the vehicle is available to collect). The Vehicle summary screen is opened when this action button is selected.
The back button takes the user back 1 screen without saving any changes.
Collection / Delivery Summary
The ‘(1)’ indicates the number of cars to be collected / delivered
Each Vehicle has an icon indicating its status.
No details have been collected on this vehicle
Collection details have been collected on this vehicle
Delivery details have been collected on this vehicle
The vehicle has not been collected
Each vehicle has a summary line which will have more or less information depending on what has been captured.
Line Number – Registration or VIN – Make – Model – Odometer
Damage Codes – Notes
Vehicle detail and damage
Upon arrival at the collection/delivery point vehicle details including odometer readings, fuel levels etc. may be noted by selecting the vehicle from the vehicle list.
A driver can also record damage on collection and delivery by selecting ‘next’. The damage consists of a number of possible damage locations and damage types.
Once collected the damage will appear on the right side of the screen in white. You can delete a damage item by taping on it and selecting delete.
When you are at the delivery point, damage recorded at collection will appear in RED and new damage recorded in white. NB: You cannot delete damage that was recorded at collection when you are at delivery.
Expenses
The expenses screen allows a user to record the expenses incurred. The user must enter who has approved the expenses.
Prior to signing off the vehicle/s there will be a summary of all the movement information as seen below
The Signoff screen allows the user to collect the name of the person accepting the Collection / Delivery and to sign the screen. If there is no one available to sign the Job off select the appropriate option on the right hand side and enter why the screen has not been signed.
If you need to abort or flag a car as not collected, select the ‘Abort reason’ on the vehicle details page, select from the list and/or enter a note.
Select the non collection reason and then ‘Finish’
Following a non-collection proceed to ‘signoff’ the movement in the same way as before
The Job abort screen allows a user to abort the entire job. Once selected the Job will be closed on the device and you will no longer be able to do the job.
Messages
If a message has been sent to your handheld from the server you will hear the incoming information tone and the menu will look as below if there is an unread message to be addressed.

Tap on 'messages' and you will see the list of all messages.

Indicates an unread message
Indicates a read message
When opened the message will display all information in the layout seen below. From here you can reply, delete or if an address has been included in the message navigate to the desired location by selecting 'go'.

Logoff
The Log off screen will log you out of the application and flag you as logged out on the CDN servers. To do this select 'back' until you get to the main menu and 'logout' and 'yes'. If one of the movements on the HH is incomplete and not set to 'on hold' you will be prompted to adjust this before logging out.
